Beyond the Lens

My work extends past photography—I'm passionate about mental health, education, and creating spaces for healing and growth. This page highlights the projects and roles that reflect my purpose and the communities I serve.

Mental Health Peer Advocate – Collegiate Recovery Program

As a peer advocate throughout undergrad, I supported students who are navigating recovery and mental health while balancing college life. Through workshops, campus events, and more, I worked to break down stigma, create a culture of care, and led a weekly podcast having tough, vulnerable, conversations. My goal is to make sure no one feels alone in their healing process, and to encourage honest conversations and action around wellness and support.

Blue & Gold Marching Machine - HBCU Archives, Branding, & More.

Working with the Blue & Gold Marching Machine has become one of the most meaningful parts of my creative journey. As a graduate of North Carolina A&T State University, I have a deep love for HBCUs and the traditions that continue to shape our communities. Through graphic design, creative direction, and branding, I help tell the story of one of the nation's most recognized marching bands. As one of my first post-graduation opportunities, this role has also been an invaluable space to continue learning, growing, and developing my creative voice.

My work is driven by a passion for Black archives and cultural preservation. Our stories deserve to be documented with care, especially because they have too often been overlooked or at risk of being erased. I want the Blue & Gold Marching Machine to continue moving with pride while helping those outside of HBCU culture understand why our bands are such an essential part of our history, identity, and legacy.

Faith-Based Service & Speaking

Rooted in my faith, my service work has taken many forms—from mentoring youth to speaking in detention centers and churches. While in college, I’ve also been invited to speak on panels about leadership, healing, and student success. As an Aggie Success Leader at North Carolina A&T, I guided incoming students and helped them navigate the challenges of their first year. Whether I'm sharing scripture, testimony, or life lessons, my goal is to uplift and empower others to walk in purpose, build community, and believe in their own growth.

Giving Lens, Giving Thanks

I offered free professional headshots to college students while encouraging donations. All contributions helped provide holiday meals and essential items to unhoused individuals across Greensboro. This event combined my photography skills with my passion for giving back and supporting those in need.
